Remember the CCMA’s? Well, turns out Gabrielle Durning (she’s on the right in the above picture with Martina Mcbride), the owner of Uptown Giftbox Company and the host of the VIP room at the CCMA’s, has landed another awesome gig and is looking for various businesses.
Uptown is hosting the VIP Lounge at the upcoming Whistler Film Festival. The event is going to be a great opportunity for businesses to get their stuff in front of many people.
So if you have a brand that you feel belongs at an event like this, get a hold of her via her website.
Here’s a bit more about the event:
The 2009 Whistler Film Festival VIP Lounge Produced by The Uptown GiftBox Company
Recently awarded The Surrey Board of Trade’s 2009 Business Excellence Award, The Uptown GiftBox Company will produce the inaugural VIP Lounge at this year’s 2009 Whistler Film Festival.
On the heels of their kickin’ Backstage Gift Lounge at the Canadian Country Music Awards, held at GM Place, owner Gabrielle Durning’s unique approach was a big draw for festival organizers. Known for her support of independent Canadian brands, the Whistler Film Festival is synonymous with independent filmmaking and will showcase over 80 films including a record number of premieres. The 9th Annual Whistler Film Festival is the last big event before Whistler plays host to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Uptown’s VIP Lounge is a high-profile opportunity to showcase Canadian brands and services to an influential audience of artists and media. Being held in Whistler’s four-star Westin Resort + Spa on Friday December 4th, the Lounge is this year’s hottest invitation-only Festival ticket!
Featuring a Wifi lounge, Festival photo studio, cocktail bar, fireside appetizers, cosy chalet decor, unbeatable mountain views and some of Canada’s coolest products and services, the VIP Lounge will host invited artists, filmmakers, industry moguls and A-list media.
This is my favourite picture from the CCMA’s last fall of Jann Arden.
