Cooperation | Jakob Granqvist

If you’ve followed my site since day one, you’ve probably seen it develop and change (for the better) into the beast before you today. Well, along with those changes has come the opportunity to delve into the business of photography a little bit more, which brings me to this lad: Jakob Granqvist.

Jakob is a fella’ I met while living in Northern Sweden and studying in a city called UmeĆ„. I was in a stooper one night and could have sworn Brad Pitt meandered into the bar. But, it was actually Jakob. Lucky bugger.

Aside from looking like Mr. Pitt, Mr. Granqvist is also one hell of a photographer. He’s mainly a wedding photographer, but when it comes to portraits, products, and all shoots in between, he absolutely kills it. Not a bad guy to work with!

In an nutshell, we’re cooperating on projects now. So, if you have a portrait, a wedding, a product shoot or a headshot, you’ll get the both of us. Cooperation will bring along the highest quality results, as two heads are better then one, so this is a win-win-win (for myself, for Jakob, and for the paying client)!

So, this is Jakob the photographer:

Jakob-the-photographer

And this is Jakob the hunter:

Jakob-the-Hunter

He’s not really a hunter though, I just sort of lassoed him into firing a few rounds on a recent trip to my hometown :) (he missed, but the gun was off so we won’t hold it against him!).

Check out more of his stuff here. He’s mega talented! Also, he’s only been in Vancouver about a week and people are already starting to take notice as BC Business Magazine has posted one of his pictures on their site. Click here to check it out!

Haha and I wasn’t joking about the first time I met him thinking he was a clone! But the ‘stooper’ was motivated by a few things ;)

Well, Canon’s pretty cool but they lost me with Avril Lavigne haha… Just kidding. My mom has always shot with Nikon and for that simple reason I do as well. Jakob – well – I have no idea why he does but I sure am glad because he’s got some killer lenses that I’m lucky enough to try out on my camera!

I really appreciate you following my wee site though Tyler! Thanks a lot and love your stuff – maybe a Tweet Up is in order!

My first normal digicam was Canon and I’ve stuck with them into the dSLR land. Though when I go on photowalks with the No Compacts Allowed group I’d say 99% of them are nikon users so I never get to play with their lenses! lol I have to collect my own. Slowly building mine up I guess; 50mm f1.8, 17-40 f4L, 70-200 f2.8L IS! lol

I know there is a tweet up happening in Whistler Nov 26th at the GLC I’ll be at. There is a nighttime photowalk on Nov 21st for the No Compacts Allowed Facebook group.
