Jen Ryley | Portrait Shoot

So Jakob and I had a fun portrait shoot with a lovely lass named Jen Ryley on a drizzly Saturday. She’s a model whose represented by JK Models, and the goal of the shoot was to get some quality headshots (mission accomplished!).

Because Jakob and I do our shoots together, we have the opportunity to take some behind the scenes type shots. That being said, we’re going to post the final product of the shoot on one site, and the behind the scenes stuff on the other.

So, on my site (below) you’ll see the behind the scenes stuff and on Jakob’s you can see the final results from the shoot. The pictures turned out great! Think of my post as the ‘fun one’ and his as the ‘serious one’ :) .

Also, two more things. If you purchase one of the Gift Cards that Jakob and I are offering, then this is the type of shoot that you can expect to receive. Not bad! That goes for the Free Portrait Giveaway as well. So, if you enter the contest this is what you could win and if you give the gift of photography away, this is what the recipient would get. Happy times!

So there you have it! Again, these are sort of like the ‘out takes’, and the final product can be found if you check out Jakob’s site. We are going to keep making posts like this because the process behind the shoot is as interesting to check out as the final images, so why not! Another advantage of booking a shoot with two photographers eh!

Thanks again to Jen for being such a sport and handling the rain like a champ!

totally cool idea, seeing it from behind the lens – behind the scenes ;)

Cole, even with the overdose of orange/tan, they are some delightful pics of you at the end of the post. :)

Haha Urban – That’s my hunting jacket – probably not appropriate for photo shoots but it was very cold, windy and rainy that morning. Definitely overwhelmingly bad style, but that’s me – which is also why I’m usually behind the camera ;)

Lorrie – Glad you like the idea! We’re going to do it here and there (without making it overkill :) ) . We think it adds an interesting element to our little partnership! Thanks again for checking out our stuff! We appreciate it!

Cole! It was no attempt to disparage your hunting jacket :D

It was your hunting jacket in front of the tree of similar toning that was a little overwhelmingly tan. I was thinking I would have converted to b & w the top two pics of you.

Still… tan or not, they’re cute!
