My name is Allan Cole Roberts, but 99.9% of the time, I'm refered to as Cole. Photography is something I have always been involved with, and that is due mostly to my mother, April. She's a heck of a photographer and is the one who planted the bug in my ear to pursue it as a profession.
People are my favourite muses, and I primarily do portrait photography. Along with this, I do weddings and commercial photography.
I am based out of Vancouver although I am a travel nut and don't mind taking jobs on that invovle hitting the road. My partner for projects is Jakob Granqvist, so if you book me for anything, then you'll get the both of us snapping away pictures. He looks like Brad Pitt, so he's a good guy to have along.
Equipment-wise, I'm a Nikon fan. Outside of photography, I'm a hockey fella' who had an interesting junior career and was suitcased all over the place. After hockey, I completed a masters degree in business over in Sweden, which is where I met my lovely girlfriend Therese (whom I coaxed over to Vancouver from her hometown of Söderhamn, Sweden).
Jakob and I had a photo shoot yesterday with two super inspiring and clever lads: Sean Aiken and Ian MacKenzie. In a nutshell, Sean had a project called One Week Job and what he did was travel around North America for a year working a different job every week. He’d get paid and with that...

About 10 months ago, I took pictures of Michelle Dawley and it was a pretty good learning curve. I hadn’t taken too many headshots of anyone, I didn’t really know what the hell I was doing and it was a topsy-turvey affair.
But basically, Michelle was so rad and so photogenic, I concluded a monkey...

I’m going to wave this flag loud and proud – I totally hate having my picture taken. Hate it. Totally. It’s like listening to people eat, only worse. That’s how I feel at least.
But these pictures actually weren’t that excruciating, and I actually like them! Hallelujah!

- Cole, it's a pleasure to drop in, but a bit tricky now that your site is business oriented. After all, if I was tempted to say (oh.. just as a casual example ;) ) that sometimes I think you have too much flash on your model's faces, then what does that do for you, when the said model is likely to read the comment? I wouldn't dream of undermining the confidence of your readers in your (far superior to mine) abilities. So.. This has been an interesting past few weeks for Mr Jakob Granqvist and I. In addition to trying to be the best Vancouver wedding photographer duo we can be (it’s kinda’ tricky, there’s a lot of others in this market) we’re having some damn cool projects spun our way.
