Musqueam Carvers — Native Olympic Artwork

Jakob and I had quite the experience last week that sort of blew our minds. We were invited by a great friend of mine named Jeremy to come to South Vancouver and visit the Musqueam Reserve to photograph carvers at work in preparation for the Olympics. The people we met were preparing stuff for the torch relay and the opening ceremonies, and it blew our effin’ minds.

We also got to meet the lady who created the logo on the ice hockey jerseys! She was cool as hell and super talented (duh). We hope to meet her again soon.

Anyways, Jakob and I now have the fun task of weeding through about 800 pictures (hope there’s a least a few good ones eh!) and we’ll post them when they’re ready.

Here’s a little one that I liked a lot (not sure why, but hey, I liked it!).
