Jakob and I had a photo shoot yesterday with two super inspiring and clever lads: Sean Aiken and Ian MacKenzie. In a nutshell, Sean had a project called One Week Job and what he did was travel around North America for a year working a different job every week. He’d get paid and with that money, he donated it to charity. Nice eh?
Well this smart lad had his friend Ian by his side for most of the journey, and low and behold, Ian’s a filmaker! So, they’ve got a documentary coming out that was made using the footage from the year, and it’s making waves already and the buzz about the movie is huge.
Oh, and Sean’s got a book coming out too. Not bad eh!
So, the pictures aren’t quite ready from our time together, but Ian was kind enough to make a short movie from the morning.
If you’re wondering about the music, there is a method to the madness (we think). The song is from Flight of the Concords, which is a hilarious TV series about two New Zealand musicians. I think Ian put this song in the clip because while we were taking pictures of the two, we were sort of running out of ideas for Ian and Sean to do stuff in front of the camera. So, I just asked them to reenact the intro to the TV series, and it worked beautifully (mostly because Ian and Sean are hilarious!).
