Here’s how Jakob and my week went last week:
Engagement shoot in Vancouver Sunday
Engagement shoot in 100 Mile House Wednesday
Engagement shoot in Kelowna Thursday
Wedding in 100 Mile House Saturday
Fly to Mexico Monday for a wedding on Wednesday
Back to Vancouver for a 4 day conference Thursday
Bango, here we are now
So now that things are stable again (for a while), time to catch up with myself.
And what jumps to mind right away is “Holy Shit! I’ve now been to Mexico!”. I hadn’t before this wedding trip, and I still can’t thinking about how unreal it was there. Sure, we were doing the all-inclusive thing so it wasn’t any sort of reality about what it’s like to live there, but the whole tropical paradise thing left a massive impression. That and the tequila carts.
Unfortunately, and ironically I suppose, I took almost no pictures other then the day of the wedding and the couples pre-wedding photography shoot. Jakob and I walked around for maybe 30 minutes with our cameras during a bit of downtime and that was it. I guess that’s the nature of the beast when you’re doing a lot of photography: Sometimes you just don’t feel for taking pictures even when you really should. Like if you’re on a vacation to Mexico.
So here’s what I mustered up. It’s not much, but it’s the non-wedding pictures I have to remember a very special trip to Meeeeeheeeekoooo!
