Remember the April Fool’s joke that Jakob and I pulled over on the Nordica site? If you missed it (here), what we did was more or less milked the fact that Jakob looks like a certain celebrity, and that this resemblance gained us access to do a photoshoot with ‘said’ celebrity. It was a good joke, got a lot of laughs, and fooled a few people.
Well the milking of this joke maybe has worn out, but nonetheless, Mr Jakob Granqvist still fools people. Maybe you’ve seen a few examples (here or here) on my site, and it’s an on-going photo-essay you might say.
Thus bringing us to today’s debacle of photos. Last night we were photographing the final night of the MPI event that was occuring in Vancouver. For their final party, they sectioned off a block on Granville Street and had a hell of a party.
At the party, the ladies opened their eyeballs and BAMMO! it was a typhoon of cougars attacking our Flying Finn. It was pretty hysterical because our lovely friends really came in waves, asking for pictures of Mr You-Know-Who look-alike.
It was a lot of fun, and these ladies really were great sports about the whole thing. With no complaints from Jakob.
